high-school-marching-band-ALTIf you or someone you know is a member of the Pittsburg, Frontenac, or Colgan High School band and would like to be “part” of the Kansas Masonic All-State High School Marching Band, WE PROVIDE SCHOLORSHIPS for a couple of those local students. Since 1984, the Kansas Masonic All-State High School Marching Band has been a continuous and positive presence at the annual Kansas (East-West) Shrine Bowl. The Kansas Shrine Bowl is an annual high school football all-star game that raises funds and awareness for the Shriners Hospitals for Children.

essay-contest-ALTThe Kansas Masonic Essay Contest has been in existence for 60 years and has awarded more than $300,000 to deserving high school students statewide. Each year, the Masonic Public School Essay Contest donates $12,000 to deserving high school students for their 300-500 word essays. We would like to encourage all high schools across the state to participate and have their juniors and seniors complete a 300-500 word essay. Many high schools use this exciting program as a “class assignment” and then submit all the essays for consideration.

teacher-student-award-ALTThe Kansas Masonic Foundation has generously supported Kansas Public Schools throughout our rich history, including the Exemplary Teacher and Student Awards program. The program was developed to enable Masonic Lodges throughout Kansas to honor local teachers, paraprofessionals, and students. Teacher, paraprofessional, and student nominations are accepted year-round. Local lodges present certificates at predetermined school events, recognizing the teachers, paraprofessionals, and students for their accomplishments.

local-grants-program-ALTThe Kansas Masonic Foundation is excited to offer our Kansas Masons Local Community Grants Program. This program awards grants to eligible nonprofit organizations that benefit the geographical area of the Masonic Lodge requesting funding. By allocating funding to charitable community initiatives across the state, our local lodges are able to make greater impacts in their communities! As long as eligible nonprofit organizations requesting funding operate on a local level in your lodge’s community and 100 percent of funding directly benefits your lodge’s geographical area, these organizations can qualify for up to $10,000 in grant money through the Kansas Masons Local Community Grants Program
